It is really easy to remove divi footer credits on your WordPress website with the use of a small piece of CSS code.
We take it that you have already downloaded and installed the Divi theme.
To get started login to your WordPress admin panel.
- Scroll down to Divi
- Click on “Theme Options”
Wait a few seconds for the page to load
Scroll to the bottom of the page to where it says “Custom CSS”
Then in the text area type the following code.
What this piece of css will do is to take the ID named “footer-info” and display none of it.
Press save and the footer will disappear.
To reenable the footer information all you have to do is to remove the custom css code and click save.
Now that the default Divi footer information is removed. I’ll show you how to add columns and widgets to your new footer section.
How to create a custom footer section in Divi theme?
- Go to appearance
Now the first thing that we are going to change is the “Footer Sidebar Left”.
You have the option of adding any amount of widgets. All you have to do is click “Add a widget”. Then select the widgets that you would like to see appear in the footer section.
When you are done click the back button once.
Select the next footer section in line and repeat the steps above.
Do this for all the other footer sections.
If you want to disable a column you should remove all the widgets from that column.
When you are done click “Publish” to save your changes.
Then click X to exit the customizer.
Thats it you are all done.
